The wealthy owners of Elderwood have prioritized profits before anything else. That’s why hundreds of 1199 caregivers at Elderwood at Lockport and Elderwood at Williamsville went out on a one-week Unfair Labor Strike in May to protest unfair labor practices, difficult working conditions, staffing, and changes to health insurance.
